Give each customer of your AI product their own Android phone.
One phone per customer
A Phonebox phone is a persistent Android device. What a customer sets up on it stays there, apart from every other customer: apps, files and signed-in accounts. Create their phone the first time they need one, and keep using it.
# One phone per customer, tagged with your own ID
curl https://phonebox.dev/v1/phones \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $PHONEBOX_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"name": "customer-acme", "metadata": {"customer": "acme"}}'
# Find that customer's phone again later
curl -g "https://phonebox.dev/v1/phones?metadata[customer]=acme" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $PHONEBOX_API_KEY"Up to 20 metadata pairs per phone let you find a customer's phones from your own IDs. API keys can be limited to one customer's phones, so a bug in one tenant's agent can't touch another's.
Keep idle customers free
Park each phone when its task ends. An idle phone also parks itself after its idle timeout, 5 minutes by default. Running time is $0.06 a minute, billed per second, so a customer who uses their phone for 10 minutes a day costs about $18 a month in device time, and one who doesn't use it costs nothing.
The multi-tenant guide covers metadata, scoped keys and the live view handoff in detail.

Questions
How do I give each user of my AI app their own phone?
Create one Phonebox phone per user with POST /v1/phones, tag it with metadata such as your customer ID, and look it up with the metadata filter. The phone persists: apps, files and sign-ins stay on it, apart from other users, and parking it between tasks stops billing.
How do my users sign in to apps on their phone?
Send them a live view link. They sign in themselves, including any one-time code, and the phone stays signed in while it's parked. Your agent never needs their password.
What does a phone per customer cost?
$0.06 per phone-minute while it runs, billed per second, and nothing while parked. A customer who uses their phone 10 minutes a day costs about $18 a month in device time.
